Cotton End Forest School shortlisted for the London Construction Awards 2018
We’re thrilled to announce our design for Cotton End Forest School has been shortlisted for the London Construction Awards 2018 – Architectural Design of the Year.
Forest school teaching takes place outdoors, whatever the weather.
Once in a while, the design of a building will extend beyond the realms of expectation, creating excitement, intrigue and awe. This award will celebrate projects that have been designed in such a way that they’re sympathetic to the environment and surroundings, functional for purpose and innovative in style.
Cotton End Forest School was designed with transforming the way a community grows at the forefront of our minds. Not only will we be giving a tiny village school in Bedford an incredible new home, but we’re also creating 686 much needed new school places and inspiring a generation to learn from the world around them.
Simon Reid, Managing Director of Lungfish Architects
Forest school teaching was first brought to Britain in 1993.
