Lungfish are proud to announce that project architect, Yasmin Nally, was recipient of ‘Young Professional of the Year’ at the 2019 Midlands G4C Constructing Excellence Awards on Friday 12th April.
The awards, held at the ICC in Birmingham, showcase young talent and celebrate outstanding examples of excellence and best practice within the construction sector. The ‘Young Professional of the Year’ award celebrates those who have excelled in the industry, striving to make great contributions, while demonstrating exemplary performance in their field of expertise.
Simon Reid, managing director of Lungfish says “huge congratulations to Yasmin for winning G4C’s Young Professional of the Year on Friday. Yasmin had no idea that the team had even entered her into the awards until the shortlist was announced. It’s a proud moment for Lungfish – well done Yasmin!”
Yasmin graduated as an architect from the University of Nottingham in December 2018 and, alongside her Part 3 obligations, continued to successfully manage the design and delivery of ten school extensions on the Department for Education’s Modular B and Modular C frameworks in partnership with Eco Modular Buildings – the latest of which received planning permission on Friday, at the same time as managing extensive modular research and development work for the practice.
On her win, Yasmin says;
“I was so surprised to win the award on the night and I still don’t feel like it has sunk in. I would like to thank the team for entering me and everyone for their support.”
As winner of the Regional Award, Yasmin now goes through to the national finals of the Constructing Excellence Awards in the autumn and we’re hoping for repeated success. Congratulations once again Yasmin, from all of us at Team Lungfish!
