We’re thrilled to announce our design for Cotton End Forest School has been shortlisted for the London Construction Awards 2018 – Architectural Design of the Year.
Once in a while, the design of a building will extend beyond the realms of expectation, creating excitement, intrigue and awe. This award will celebrate projects that have been designed in such a way that they’re sympathetic to the environment and surroundings, functional for purpose and innovative in style.
Cotton End Forest School was designed with transforming the way a community grows at the forefront of our minds. Not only will we be giving a tiny village school in Bedford an incredible new home, but we’re also creating 686 much needed new school places and inspiring a generation to learn from the world around them.
“I’m really excited about Cotton End Forest School. It’s a thoroughbred example of working with a client extremely closely to realise their dream of a school that doesn’t look and feel like an ordinary school.” Simon Reid, managing director.
“Lungfish have worked with us from the outset to realise our vision to design a unique forest school setting for our children. This will enable us to become a centre of excellence with the forest school ethos, where children are at the heart of their learning.” Karen Headland, headteacher, Cotton End Forest School.
