WHAT IS CIF FUNDING?
The Condition Improvement Fund (CIF) is an annual call for bids from schools, academies and sixth-form colleges that need capital funding to improve their facilities and provide the best possible working and learning environments.
The Department for Education (DfE) is welcoming CIF applications for 2020-2021 projects from eligible schools, academies and sixth-form colleges who have urgent concerns with health and safety issues, building compliance and poor building conditions. Whilst a lot of the available funding is earmarked for renovations, the DfE are accepting bids for the replacement of outdated and dilapidated classrooms, supplementary accommodation and blocks, as well as a number of school expansion projects.
All applications for new classrooms or expansions require a detailed knowledge on the design, cost and construction programme. Having created more than 10,300 school places in new classrooms and schools, this advice is something that we are experienced in. In addition to this, we also have previous experience with successful CIF applications and our team can provide you with the tools and guidance required for your bid.
The deadline for the 2020-2021 financial year is fast approaching. Whether you have finished your CIF application for new classrooms and would like some feedback, or if you are just starting the process and would welcome some guidance, contact our team to discuss how we can help.
